Some cards deserve more than a quick wipe. We evaluate the card first, identify what can realistically be improved, and approach the work with the goal of preserving the collectible—not chasing promises.
We look at the card’s surface, corners, edges, presentation and the issue you want addressed before recommending work.
We explain what may be improvable, what should be left alone and whether the card makes sense to work on at all.
When appropriate, the card may receive hands-on restoration or conservation work. These services are separate from standard grading preparation and may affect whether a grading company will grade, authenticate or otherwise accept the card.
Restoration and conservation are card-specific services, so we evaluate the card before quoting the work.
No restoration work begins until you approve the estimate. Pricing depends on the card and the work required. Restoration/conservation charges are billed separately from standard grading preparation. Return shipping and insurance are separate.
A few recent examples of hands-on card restoration and conservation work. Every card is evaluated individually before any work begins.
That’s part of the value of an evaluation. Vintage paper, chrome surfaces, creases, stains, oxidation, yellowing and other defects behave differently. Sometimes the smartest move is to leave the card exactly as it is.

Before you hand someone a card you care about, you should know how they treat collectors and collectibles. Tilted has built marketplace history through real transactions and repeat buyers.
Marketplace metrics captured August 2026 and may change over time. Marketplace purchase feedback reflects buyer transaction experiences and is not a claim about separate service outcomes.
No. Some defects can potentially be improved while others are permanent or carry too much risk to justify intervention.
No. We do not guarantee grades. Grading decisions belong entirely to independent grading companies.
That decision belongs entirely to the grading company. Restoration, conservation or alteration may fall outside a grading company’s standards and may result in a card being rejected, returned ungraded, identified or designated as altered, assigned a qualifier or otherwise treated differently. Tilted Sports Cards does not represent restoration services as approved by PSA or any other grading company.
We can evaluate both. The material, finish, condition and value of the individual card determine whether work makes sense.
Book a call and be ready to share clear front-and-back photos plus a description of the issue you want evaluated.
That’s exactly what the call is for. Show us the card, tell us what you’re thinking, and we’ll have a straightforward conversation about your options.
